I was having a look the other day, wondering how to change the air filter. The PDF makes it look SO easy & obvious. (Except 2.1 - where is the connector 'a' on the diagram? Is it just me that can't see 'a') I haven't tried taking anything apart, as I don't need to change the filter yet. But it looks far from straightforward.

I need to know how the bottom engine cover is removed so to drop the oil on the C4 1.6 HDI . Regarding the filter can anyone advise if the new filter element is placed in to the cap first and then applied to the aluminium filter housing or should the filter element be offered to the housing first.
A 15w40 oil will only be thicker than a 10w40 oil when it is cold (first number), once warmed up it will be the same viscosity (the second number i.e. 40). A 10w50 / 15w50 / 20w50 oil would be thicker once warm. Your engine oil pressure can be low for a few reasons, one is that there is a blockage in the oil system, e.g. oil filter or strainer.
As any one got a view on service interim oil changes? my new C4 1.6 HDI as now done 6K and I am considering an interim oil and filter change, obviously using a proper Citroen (Mahle I think) filter and the specified oil which is Total Quartz ineo ECS.
